Fair Work and how they help

We often get many calls from canteen staff and P&C treasurers enquiring about how much they should be paid or what award wage they should be on. When questions are simple and straightforward we’re happy to answer them.

However if you’re having a dispute with your employer or employee, the best place to turn for answers is Fair Work.

You can talk to Fair Work about anything from what you should be paid to unfair dismissal, annual leave or if you feel you’re being bullied or discriminated against at work. They are there to help.

Use the ribbon at the top to direct yourself to the right section. When you scroll down there’s a section called Tools and Applications that can help you with finding the right award for your job, calculate your pay and your annual leave.

If your issue is complex, give Fair Work a call – be sure to call when you have enough time to wait as according to their website, the average wait time is 30 minutes. However, once you’re through they can provide you with a case number so that if you have anything else to clarify you won’t have to explain the whole situation again at a later date.
