Serve these cute watermelon Christmas trees at end-of-year class parties and for dessert on the big day itself.

Makes 6-8 trees

Ingredients:

  • ¼ of a watermelon

Method:

  1. Slice the watermelon into triangles of 2cm thickness and 10 cm base width, leaving the rind on.
  2. Trim the rind of each triangle to make a tree stump.

Hint:

Ensure the tree stump is thick enough so that little hands can use it to hold the tree without it collapsing. We have provided the serves based on ¼ of a watermelon because this is often how it is sold. Modify the amount of watermelon you need based on how many trees you want to make.
